The Beef Box
We have been rearing cattle at D’Oyleys for four generations. Our cattle graze on the meadows in the summer; our herbal leys are rich in clover, sainfoin and chicory which provides all their essential nutrients and minimises the need for extra fertilizer.
In winter the cattle are housed and given grass silage, supplemented with home grown rolled barley, oats and maize; they are bedded up daily on fresh straw.
Our native breed Beef Shorthorn and Aberdeen Angus cattle are pasture fed and mature slowly to give outstanding flavour and texture. The meat is dry aged for 28 days before being expertly butchered.
The beef box…
2 x roasting joints – Topside/Top Rump, Silverside or Brisket – about 1.25kg each – Perfect for a family roast or dinner party
4 x prime steaks – Sirloin/Rump, just add sweet potato fries and watercress – Treat yourself
12 x Burgers – Get the BBQ fired up!
2 x 500g mince – Spag bol, Lasagne, Chilli con carne, Cottage Pie – Midweek winners
Diced steak - (about 2kg)– Think warming Beef & Ale pie or Beef casserole & dumplings
4 x braising steaks & 2 x ‘Jacobs ladder’ ribs – slow roast – Yum
At 10kg we reckon the full box contains enough for about 50 meals.
The box is 55cm x 39 x 14 and can easily be broken down to fit in your freezer; or why not share with family and friends?
