FAQs

Does my order need to include a meat box?
Yes, it does. Free delivery (and our overall business) is made possible on the basis each delivery includes a meat box, if your basket only contains 'add-on' items then it won't process into an order on a Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to a set area in Oxford / South Oxfordshire.
When do you deliver?
All of our deliveries are made on Thursday each week.
I'm not going to be home at the time you offer for delivery. Is this is a problem?
No! Our meat is all delivered frozen in a insulated box that will keep it cold and safe for up to 12 hours. We will leave your meat box in a designated 'safe-place', somewhere sheltered from direct sunlight or rain ideally. You can also leave out a cool box for us each time we deliver.
Do I have to subscribe to order a meat box?
You do not need to sign up for a subscription to enjoy one of our meat boxes. Every box has an option to choose the frequency of delivery including 'only once'. But we are certain you’ll love the quality and taste of our meat so much you’ll be signing up for more!
Do I have to have a delivery every week?
No, you can change as often as you like. If you'd prefer a different box one week just login in and swap it in your basket before midnight on Tuesday.
Can I substitute items in my box?
Yes you can you can swap products in each of our boxes. Some items you may have to pay an additional price on top of the original box price.
You can also add a few select products to be included in your box, so if there’s something missing you may find it in our add-ons.
I’ve changed my mind and no longer need my subscription
That’s absolutely fine. There’s no commitment and you can stop your subscription at any time. Was it because your boxes were coming too frequently? You can always change your deliveries to every two weeks or once a month. Or was the box not suiting your family meals? You can always change which box you order week to week through your account.
I can't see how to check-out?
You no longer need to check-out. All orders are automatically processed Wednesday (after the order deadline at midnight on Tuesday). Just remember to authorise the direct debit payment before your first shop, or the order won't complete.
How do you store my bank account details?
We don't. They are held securely by Stripe.
Am I tied into a contract?
No absolutely not. There is no regular obligation, and you won't be charged unless there are products in your basket.
What does ‘regenerative’ mean?
Regenerative farming at its simplest is using farming methods that will improve soil structure and its ability to retain and draw down carbon from the atmosphere. Done correctly, it provides rich, resilient fields for grazing animals which then gives the animals a better diet and improved health.
At the heart of our regenerative farming is a few key principles:

  • No till - we do not till our land to plant seed each year
  • Rotational grazing - our animals are moved around our fields in a system of small areas that they graze down evenly before moving on within 1-3 days. This is better for allowing grass and herbs to grow back stronger as they aren’t over grazed, and means our animals always get the tender stems for their meals which are full of vitamins, minerals and importantly protein.
  • Use of cover crops - we never let our fields lie fallow. Throughout the year we have crops growing which protect the soil through dry summers and wet winters.
  • Increasing and encouraging biodiversity - we plant a diversity of seeds in our fields and always take wildlife into consideration. A healthy farm is one with lots of birds and rabbits and insects buzzing about. We have wildflower borders on our fields and plant wild birdseed for winter months. We allow our river meadows to flood in winter and always look at how we can work with the natural state of our land.

How do I find out more about camping?
We host wild camping on our farm along the Thame River from May through September each year. There are private pitches, campfires, hammocks, river swimming, kayaking and lots of other things to do on site. Email us via our contact us page.
What is your Saturday Farm Shop?
Our shop is a pop-up farm shop that sells all of our cuts of meat individually, as well as amazing local produce from trusted suppliers. There's bread, pastries, milk and eggs, honey and seasonal vegetables and fruit each week. We're open every Saturday from the Spring from 10am - 2pm.
Do you still sell turkeys?
Yes we do! Our turkeys arrive on the farm in summer as day old chicks, and we rear them slowly by hand in our pasture.
I’m interested in selling your meat in my shop / restaurant
We would love to help! Contact us by email or call us and we will see what we can do!
